Abstract
The article deals with the evolution of the Ukrainian hut in accordance with its location: in the Forest zone, the Forest-Steppe zone or the Steppe zone during XVII – XIX centuries, Specific building materials were used in different regions. Typological unity of the inner planning and interior of the Ukrainian hut is shown. The Ukrainian hut is the symbol of the Ukrainian people, their culture and welfare.
