A RARE CASE OF VAGINAL LEIOMYOMA

Vaginal leiomyomas are benign smooth-muscle tumors of the vagina.These tumors are extremely rare. We report a case of 46 year old post menopausal lady presented to our out patient department with complaints of mass descending per vaginum for 4 years. Vaginal examination revealed a firm mass of size 10x8 cm arising from anterior vaginal wall in close proximity to urethra. Exicision of the mass was performed vaginally and subsequent histopathology revealed a vaginal leiomyoma.
