KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PRACICE, DEMOGRAPHIC AND CLINICAL PROFILE AND OUTCOME OF ACCIDENTAL KEROSENE INGESTION IN NORTH CHENNAI

This study was conducted to know the knowledge, attitude and practice, clinical profile and outcome of children with accidental kerosene ingestion. It was found that storage of kerosene in beverage containers and easily accessible areas was common in households of cases with accidental kerosene ingestion.This study emphasizes the need for educating the people regarding storage of hazardous substances and thereby prevent accidental ingestion by children and its complications.
