In recent years, much critical attention has been given a type of literature in Latin American know as Magical Realism. Althouth there has been some confusion regarding the meaning of the term, which writers are currently practicing it, and where it is most prevalent, João Guimarães Rosa's name is consistently linked to it is Brazil.
