The increase productivity and competitiveness in Mexico: Innovation, knowledge and development

This paper aims to present the reader a state of knowledge about the concept of competitiveness, and how it has been increasingly associated to innovation, knowledge and technological development; concepts that are reviewed in this article under the light of an empirical research. It also analyzes the legal context of innovation in Mexico and the concrete actions that have been made in favor of innovation and knowledge in this Country.
