International entrepreneurship by Mexico's business sector is basic to the country's economy via its exports. So far this sector and therefore its economy is highly dependent on the usa market. Most of the products exported by Mexico are sent to that country and manufactured by North American companies located in Mexican territory. This study describes the problems affecting this sector of the Mexican economy and the association between entrepreneur profile and success in international entrepreneurship; this study was conducted in Jalisco, Mexico and is referenced to the mag (Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara), zone with the highest concentration of exporting companies in this state. The theoretical framework of the study is supported by the theory of international trade that supports the economic development of nations from their exports and by the theory of personality that defines the human being as someone in permanent pursuit of goals. The results of the group of entrepreneurs participating in the study show that there is an association between the profile of the entrepreneur and success in international entrepreneurship. According to the results of the group of entrepreneurs participating in the study, these show that there is an association between entrepreneur profile and success in international entrepreneurship, the profile elements directly associated with success in international entrepreneurship are: Drive, Influence and Compliance.
