Abstract

The dissatisfaction with the results of the GINA Protocol [5] for the treatment of bronchial asthma (BA) determines the necessity of search for new pathogenetic methods of treatment of this disease. One of non - drug methods of treatment aimed at correcting the pathological changes through self - regulation of the disturbed functions, is electro - impulse therapy (ET). ET is a method of treatment to activate the reserves of the o rganism to overcome functional and organic manifestations of the disease. The dynamics of indicators of external respiration function (ERF) and the oxygen supply of the organism in patients with status asthmaticus (SA) is studied. It is established that th e increase of bronchial obstruction is associated with a decline in respiratory function, and oxygen consumption. The use of ET contributes to a significant improvement in the patency of airways, consequently, improving oxygen budget of an organism.
