Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the development of the concept "form" from antiquity to the mo- dernity. The intellectual historical occupancy of this notion, demon strated on the historico - philosophical material was noted. The addressing to the modern interpretation of the concept of "form" allowed to note its new artistic content and saturation: modification of concepts mimesis, gnosis, aesthesis. The importance of the concept "open form", confirming the possibility and fruitfulness of conversion of cultural phenomena were considered from the positions of synergetic approach. The logical and methodological closeness of the notions "form" and "style" was provided.
