An Advanced Hindi Language Interface to Knowledge Base

Databases are hard to use since their interface is rigid in co-operating with users.To make data retrieval easy for common person,a system has been developed in which user can input query in hindi language and get the result in same language.The existing system had some limitations.Here we remove drawbacks of these system by adding valuable features.The STUDENT database has been identified as a case study for the development of proposed system.The proposed system can handle single and multiple columns retrieval queries,selection of whole table,conditional queries,join queries and queries those include functions and logical operators.A graphical user interface has been designed for the system using java swings.MYSQL has been used as database and is connected to java using java database connectivity.The data values stored are in hindi language using Unicode character set.Hindi shallow parser is used to parse the input hindi sentence.Though the proposed technique is better,it has further scope of improvement.
