Abstract

In the article, based on the analysis of a number of scientific sources, it is substantiated that the psychologic-pedagogical competence of border guards officers is a totality of pedagogical and psychological competence and begins its formation during the training of future officers in a departmental educational institution and is improved in the process of acquiring their experience. In the article, this conclusion is based on an analysis of the characteristics and psychological and pedagogical tasks of the professional activity of the employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Crystallization of the definition of "psychologic-pedagogical competence of future border guards officers", understanding of its content and place in the structure of professional competence and professionalism will allow to correctly set out the emphasis when implementing the concept of research and creating the conditions for the formation of this personal characteristic.
