Violence in schools: Status and prospects for a future of peace

This article aims to list situations of violence in schools, because this affects the integrity of human beings in various ways, having roots in the history. The methodology is a qualitative research, descriptive literature, for further discussion sought on the theme violence in schools as one of the main concerns that society, giving liveliness to the issue addressed made the use of talking several authors confronting and dialogued with the reality experienced with reporting experience in schools. Discussion of results reflection on school violence, an issue that arises as normal in the media to be very strong in everyday society, and values such as solidarity, humility, respect and tolerance are few stimulated in the social life practices, either in the family, at school, at work or even on-site leisure, the absence of such practices usually give rise to selfishness, brutality and intolerance. Conclusion rose positions when the school, shown unprepared and at the same time need to manage the conflicts generated by different forms of violence and its consequences, which seriously undermines student learning.
