THE SUBJECT OF MUSIC ACCORDING TO THE TRAINING TEACHER STUDENTS OF THE COMPLUTENSE UNIVERSITY OF MADRID

The objective of this study is to ascertain the opinions of the students of the Degrees of Infantile and Primary Education of the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, on diverse aspects related to the subject of music in Compulsory Secondary Education (E.S.O.). The method used is a survey. This work shows a quantitative analysis of the answers. It concludes with the need to give more space and value to the subject in the educational curriculum, to make it more focused on the practical than the theoretical aspects, to use active and direct methodologies, and competent, flexible and comprehensive teaching staff.
