Abstract

Mongolia is now on the path to building a state governed by the rule of law and democratic society that requires a high level of human rights and freedoms. For an individual, honor, dignity and business reputation are the essence of the person existence. The concepts of honor, reputation and its protection are enshrined in international law, which is also characteristic for our country. We are taught in our country to put honor and reputation before all else, for example, starting from an early age, we teach children such folk sayings as "Better fracture of bones than the loss of hon-or", "A person cares about honor, and a peacock cares about feathers", " A good name is sooner lost than won", "A good name keeps its lustre in the dark", therefore the study of the concepts of honor and its legislative regulation is very rele-vant for our people.
