Abstract

The study of new varieties of winter barley, that previously are not cultivated in the territory of the Russian Federation and the improvement of agrotechnical methods contributing to the increase in their productivity, in specific soil and climatic conditions is an urgent task of science. High speed of winter barley grain development is one of the important signs of adaptive potential, providing high yield. The promising varieties of winter barley for these conditions were considered in the research: Hulless (Dagestan); Golden (Dagestan); Victoria (Romania). It was revealed that the use of mineral fertilizers without treatment of crops with herbicide had a significant impact on the increase in the number of weeds, increasing them (on the average for 3 years) by 27 pcs/m2 (50.1 %), wet weight – 92 g (47.6 %), dry weight – 55 g (54.4 %), which negatively affected the crops of all studied varieties. The highest grain productivity was obtained by double processing of crops (in the phases of spring tillage and in stem elongation of plants) with herbicide: Golden – 5.14 t/ha; Victoria – 4.19 t/ha; Hulless – 4.41 t/ha, and low – fertilized background without herbicide – Victoria – 2.50 t/ha, Golden – 2.67 t/ha and Hulless – 2.84 t/ha. Additionally, the germination of seeds of different harvest years harvest, which was as follows were examined: for 2016 – Golden of 94.3 %, Victoria – 90,2 %, Hulless, compared to 80.4 %; for 2017 – Golden – 95,6 %, Victoria – 97.3% of Hulless – 86,0 %.
