Abstract

The clinical case of the patient M.A. born in 1996 was presented. The patient was hospitalized at the Department of Vascular Surgery of the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital on August 14, 2013 with a diagnosis of left-sided varicocele, left renal vein stenosis caused by aorta mesenteric clamp. The peculiarities of the case history, clinical, ultraso-nography and laboratory picture of this patient were studied in detail. The patient underwent operative therapy, namely left renal vein reimplantation, on August 15, 2013. The patient was discharged with complete recovery after the treatment. According to renal veins ultrasonography in 3, 12, 36 months after the surgery, stenosis of the reconstruction site was not detected. Clinical symptomatology was absent in the remote postoperative period. Conclusions. The analysis of this clinical case demon-strated the efficacy of the left renal vein reimplantation as a pathogenetically substantiated method of “the nutcracker syn-drome” treatment.
