RESEARCH OF THE CONCEPT "TRADITION" IN THE LANGUAGE CONSCIOUSNESS OF NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS ACCORDING TO THE METHOD OF G. G. SLYSHKIN (on the material of quotations)

The goal of the article is to present a linguocultural analysis of the concept “tradition” in the language consciousness of native English speakers (based on quotations). When analyzing quotations, keyword compati- bility and associative links were used according to the method of G. G. Slyshkin. With the help of them the fre- quent combination of the concept with prepositions and verbs was revealed and the quotations under study have synonymic density. The words-representatives of the concept «tradition» were revealed as a result of the study
