TERMINALISTICS AS A NEW RESEARCHAREA

It is offered to integrate logistics, economy and the technical disciplines studying questions of effective cargo movement through transport and logistic networks, into the uniform complex direction different from the known scientific directions by complex statement of research problems, in particular: choice of quantity and dislocation of the logistic centers, determination of economic feasibility of expansion of terminal network, economic effect when using direct and terminal transportation, kind of transport, type of transportations, configuration and internal structure of terminal network. The new scientific and methodological direction ? terminalistics is considered, its definition is formulated. The glossary of the main terms is submitted. Interdisciplinary interrelations of terminalistics with related sciences are graphically shown. The number of tasks which terminalistics is urged to solve is specified.
