COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING TARGETED TO THE SPECIALISTS OF THE SOCIONOMIC SPHERE

Abstract

Contemporary trends in the development of the national education system, the specification of its focus on personal development in the context of the competence-oriented approach have led to changes in the content and technology of the training targeted to the future specialists of socionomic sphere in professional activities. One of the main aspects of the professionalism of a future specialist in the socionomic field is his / her communicative competence. The purpose of the article is to highlight scientists' modern approaches to the determination of the essence and structure of the future socionomists' communicative competence. It is noted that socionomic groups of professions include teachers, social educators, social workers, sociologists, psychologists, journalists, political scientists; legal professions, etc., whose subject of professional activity is social interaction. It has been revealed that scientists define the communicative competence as a general, unified structure containing: the knowledge of functions, forms, means, types of communication; the understanding of the importance of communication in human life, awareness of the need to form the communicative competence in order to enter the society, collective, group; the knowledge of rules and terms of communication in different cases; the knowledge of vocabulary and grammar; the ability to compose correctly such speech acts as apologies, requests, invitations, thanks as well as to respond promptly to them; to use speech means correctly; the presence of communicative skills (to establish contacts with different people in professional activity; to use verbal and non-verbal means of communication; to feel and maintain feedback in communication; to express their thoughts and feelings clearly and emotionally); the ability to orient himself / herself in different situations of communication, to analyse his / her own behaviour and interlocutor's behaviour, to predict the results of communication. In the framework of the research, the communicative competence of the future specialists in the socionomic sphere is understood as the ability of an individual to successfully interact in different social groups and communication situations; it is characterized by compliance with the norms and rules of the modern Ukrainian language, including the ability to understand and use verbal and non-verbal resources in professional activities. The structure of the communicative competence of the future specialists representing the socionomic sphere includes the knowledge of the general concepts of linguistics, norms of professional ethics, psychology and technology, professional communication regulations, rules of interpersonal communication, understanding of national specific features of communication, corresponding forms of replies, possession of verbal and non-verbal means of communication, etc.
