Abstract

Abstract. The article describes methods for determining and increasing the level of resistance to hypoxia and hypercapnia in the students of the RSMU with any state of health and physical abilities by daily training in voluntary breath holding after deep breath, as well as taking royal jelly taking into account the body weight. These methods accelerate the process of adaptation of students to the conditions of the university, enhance the functional capabilities of the growing organism, especially when practicing physical culture, and are additional means of increasing its effectiveness. Adaptation of the organism to various factors, phenomena of the external or internal environment is determined by the duration, intensity of the impact, their totality. In turn, the latter largely depend on the funds that can have an impact to adaptation, either positive or negative. In order to shorten the period of adaptation, training in breathing delay after preliminary deep inspiration is widely used. The data on the duration of such a breath holding of different authors differs drastically, but on average, it is 50-60 seconds in adult males and 35-45 seconds in females. However, it can be different if the methods for carrying out this delay are significantly different. It is known that people who practice in scuba diving can hold their breath for up to 9 minutes. In order to improve the adaptation of first-year students, it is advisable to combine daily training in voluntary respiratory arrest with deep inspiration (85-90% of maximum inspiration) combined with royal jelly intake. Training with a delay in breathing is advisable to spend at least 30 days before the exams and passing the test standards for physical training. The effectiveness of training with a delay in breathing after a preliminary deep inspiration should be calculated taking into account the body weight.
