Abstract

Dermatitis and eczema in dogs of the urban population occupy a leading place in the nosological structure of incidence of dermatological pathology of small pets. In this regard, for practicing veterinarians with the aim of undertaking timely and early differential diagnosis, the accurate, species-specific and research-based data about the incidence of morbidity based on the age and breed of affected patients is necessary, and that was the goal of our applied research. The results of the study found that the incidence of dogs of urban population by dermatitis is up by 15.91 % than eczema. At the same time, the peak of registration of inflammatory pathology in the dermis falls on the age from 6 months to 1 year and from 3 years to 6 years mainly in males with breed belonging to such breeds as: shepherd, German shepherd, French bulldog; and eczema for the age from 1 year to 3 years and from 3 years to 6 years mainly in purebred females of the breed Dachshund, Shar-Pei and French bulldog.
