THE CONTRIBUTION OF JEAN MONNET TO THE CREATION OF EUROPEAN UNION

The article is devoted to the activity of J. Monnet. In the history of France, J. Monnet entered, first of all, as the author of the plan of post-war modernization, which allowed the country in record time to restore the destroyed economy and household. Jean Monnet is one of the Central figures of the initial period of European integration, the initiator and actual author of the Schumann plan, the Pleven plan, Euroatom project. There are associations, foundations or university departments named after J. Monnet in almost all European countries, Russia, USA.
