SYSTEM OF NOTIFYING FAMILY MEMBERS AFTER PRETRIAL DETENTION IN CHINESE CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS

As human beings have the nature of caring for family members, protecting the interests of detainees and maintaining the stability of social order, China's Criminal Procedure Law established the system of notifying families of relevant information after pretrial detention. However, the system still has many unreasonable, unclear and incomplete aspects at the rule level after modification, which should be further perfected through hermeneutics.
