SELF-CONSTRUCTING CHOICE OF CULTURE

The article substantiates the position according to which culture is a self-developing system of spiritu- al values. There is a point of view, according to which the management of culture should be mainly reduced to the function of material support of its institutions. Culture itself guides the path of its further development. It is argued that only the culture itself is able to find an adequate response to the changing socio-political situation. The nature of the confrontation between cultural values and the onslaught of increasing pragmatic civilizational changes stands out
