Abstract

The article deals with a new research direction: the economic theory of language concerning the interaction of linguistic and economic systems. The purpose of this article is to provide a more detailed description of the impact of interacting languages on various aspects of activities. The difference in the impact of language on the development of economic processes that unite people of different linguistic and socio-cultural origins is determined. To obtain empirical data, a method of questioning and interviewing respondents included in the system of intercultural communication is used. According to the results obtained, it can be said that, as a rule, in most cases the common language of communication is preferred which is either one of the international languages or the language of the titular nation. Among the sources of the language impact to which attention is paid are ethnic ties, trust and language tolerance. In this context, there arises a problem of adaptation in the intercultural environment which is based on the knowledge of the host language, ignorance of which is a barrier to successful communication and entry into the new community. To develop the skills of tolerant communicative behaviour it is necessary to create special programs equipped with the necessary teaching and methodological materials available in international communication languages. Some of such tutorials are offered in the article presented.
