Abstract

Based on the collection and systematization of the results of chemical analyzes of the waters of the Chokrak horizon of the Muradkhanly, Zardob, Gedakboz, Shirvanly and Beylagan areas of the Yevlakh-Agdjabedi trough, their classification has been carried out by the systems of Palmer and V.A. Sulin. Waters of the Chokrak horizon belong mainly to relatively low-mineralized (with a mineralization of 6.0-54.6 g/l), alkaline hydrocarbonate-sodium type. The compiled schematic isometric map shows that the mineralization of the waters of the Chokrak horizon as a whole increase from the southwestern flank of the trough to its northeastern flank. According to the compiled schematic map of the change in the concentration of organic acids in the waters of the Chokrak horizon, the degree of its prospects of oil and gas potential has been determined, which also increases from south-west to north-east.
