Abstract
The article determines the place of the chamber ensemble in the system of instrumental genres, analyzes its invariant semantics and historical and stylistic variants. The genre regularities of the drama underlying the
semantics of the chamber ensemble are traced by the author both in structural and compositional, as well as in performing and pedagogical projections.
