Abstract
The article describes the features of geological knowledge in the course of school geography in high school. A large amount of information in the school leads to superficial knowledge. One of the ways to solve this problem is the integration of the geography course with other sciences. This contributes to the development of systems thinking, form a research interest. This is also important because many questions of geography originate in geology. Such interdisciplinary communication can be carried out by various methods: general excursions, lessons with relevant topics. The article proposes to supplement some topics with a more detailed study of the geological component. Examples of how to do this are given
