Abstract

The article deals with the ideas of the theologians of the society of Jesus, which allowed the Catholic Church to conduct a dialogue with the modern world. The works of Henri de Lubac, Karl Rahner, Bernard Lon- ergan, Hugo Rahner, which highlighted the ideas of openness of Catholicism, ecumenism, dialogue of worldviews, human nature, open to communication with God, are analyzed. The theologians оf the society of Jesus developed the basic tenets of Catholicism, enriched by a unique spirituality, the foundations of which were laid by Ignatius Loyola. Theology of the Jesuits influenced different areas of culture. In the modern world in the conditions of secularization The society of Jesus stands for the openness of Catholicism and active communica- tion with the modern world
