GLIMPSES OF THE HISTORY OF KAZAKH OPERA

The preconditions of creating the whole new opera genre for traditional culture in Kazakhstan in the early 20th century are considered in the article. The fundamental reasons of creation are defined; they are the rich multigenre singing heritage of the Kazakhs, the sociocultural situation in the country, the formed synthesis of traditional and European art expressed in developing the opera genre.
