Architectural and art means of expression in volyn temple construction of XVII-XVIII centuries: analysis of art and decorative paintings

Given article is dedicated to research of art and decorative paintings of Volyn region orthodox and catholic temples of XVII-XVIII centuries. The article analyses the general tendencies of Volyn temple art development of this period, its narrative, compositional, coloristic and style peculiarities; ornaments and decorations of Volyn churches and cathedrals have been studied. The author raises an issue of regional peculiarities of Volyn monumental temple paintings and its belonging to a separate Volyn painting school.
