Abstract

India is the most tuberculosis prevalent country in the world. Many cases of active tuberculosis are diagnosed at autopsy. This study was aimed to determine the autopsy prevalence of tuberculosis over a period of 3 years at a tertiary care centre. Out of 801 cases of autopies done in 3 years, 27 cases (3.37%) had tuberculosis and 92.59% of cases were active tuberculosis. Most of the cases were seen in men of 40-50 years age group.
