Abstract
Deng Xiaoping, who came to power in 1976, is the architect of modern Chinese capitalism in which implemented mixed and planned economic program. China almost overtook the United States in economic terms by using the void after the Cold War. The Chinese called this model as "Socialist Market Economy". But this gigantic economy is fragile. On the other hand, China has many problems like unemployment, international competition, energy resources, defense investments and expansion policies. In its 13th five-year development plan, China is trying to overcome these problems through the “One Belt One Road” project. The article discusses the current situation in China and its international position.
