Abstract
The article is devoted to studying of substantial parameters of Spanish pedagogical discourse at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is determined that regeneration theme was mainstream of this discourse. Spanish intellectuals substantiated the leading importance of public education and cultural progress of the country in its quest for renewal.
