Abstract

The level of seismic impact significantly affects the structural design of the building, which in turn leads to an increase in the consumption of concrete and reinforcement, and as a result, an increase in the cost of the building. Today, there are practically no data on how the seismicity of a construction site affects the cost of construction. The studies are general and controversial, therefore, they require verification and specification. This article presents the percentage ratio of the cost of concrete and reinforcement for the construction of a multi-story building at the prices of 2012, 2015 and 2019, the change in the total costs of structural materials (concrete and reinforcement), as well as the results of calculations of the change in the cost of 1 m2 of usable area depending on the magnitude of the seismic impact. Purpose. To determine the effect of increasing the design seismicity on the economic parameters of a multi-story building. Methods. Technical and economic evaluation of structural solutions for multi-story buildings with increasing of seismic impact. Results. It has been established that with an increase in the intensity of seismic impact, a large gap occurs between the percentage of the cost of concrete and reinforcement, as well as a regular increase in the cost of 1 m2 of usable area in hryvnias. When assessing the cost of 1 m2 of usable area in dollar terms, such a pattern is violated. Scientific novelty. The patterns of changes in the cost (in hryvnia and dollar equivalent) of concrete and reinforcement of a multi-storey building are determined depending on the seismicity of a construction site. Practical relevance. It appears probable to anticipate an increase in the cost of structural materials during construction in areas with increased seismicity.
