Theoretical analysis of psychological factors of conflict prevention in the educational process professional (professional‐technical) education institutions

Abstract

This article discusses theoretical approaches to the problem of conflict prevention in the educational process of Professional (Professional-technical) Education Іnstitutions. The relevance of the problem of prevention of pedagogical conflicts is substantiated. The educational process of the teaching staff Professional (Professional technical) Education Іnstitutions is characterized by certain features associated with the structural and functional structure of the institution, the content and tasks of vocational education, the characteristics of the student population, which determine the specificity of the conflicts in the pedagogical process of teaching staff Professional (Professional-technical) Education Іnstitutions, as well as strategies and methods for their prevention. The psychological factors of conflict in the pedagogical process of Professional (Professional-technical) Education Іnstitutions are: cognitive, which manifests itself in inadequate, hostile attitudes, lack of conflictological knowledge of the subjects of the pedagogical process; emotional (hostile feelings, insufficient level of empathy, emotional aspects of interpersonal interaction); behavioral (ineffective strategies of behavior in a conflict, stereotypes of behavior); motivational, the manifestation of which is the lack of motivation for learning among students, the low level of motivation for professional activity among teachers, the underdevelopment of motivation for effective interaction; personal (individual psychological characteristics of the subjects of the pedagogical process as potential conflicts: impulsiveness, rigidity, aggressiveness, etc.). Conflict prevention is considered as a component of psychological and pedagogical activity, which consists in the timely recognition, elimination or weakening of the action of psychological factors. The psychological conditions for the prevention of conflicts in the pedagogical process of the Professional (Professional-technical) Education Іnstitutions are primarily orientation to the subject-subject interaction in the educational process, the implementation of effective educational work with students based on the maximum consideration of their individual characteristics.
