Abstract

The article describes, based of an analysis of scientific literature, a number of problems associated with professional stress and with the syndrome of emotional burnout in pedagogical activities. The author studies the needs of teachers regarding psychological support and recovery of psychological health, determines their specific needs, and describes the results of a conducted survey of pedagogical workers regarding the causes of emotional exhaustion and psychological well-being. This work singles out the problem of psychological health support for pedagogical workers in the process of their professional development. It suggests that the system of pedagogical workers' professional development may be a part of the larger overall system of support and recovery of the teachers' psychological health. The goal of the study was to determine the potential directions for activities on maintaining and recovering the pedagogical workers' psychological health of in the course of advanced training. Socio-psychological training appeared to be the most effective form of work that provides the teachers with the psychological health support and recovery while also fitting the format of advanced training. The training includes elements of psycho-eduсation, self-discovery, formation and development of self-regulation skills, and adoption of effective behavioral patterns.
