Turkisms as the sourse of homonyms refund of Modern Ukrainian Language

The article explores the role of Turkisms in the development of lexical homonymy in the Ukrainian language, based on the analysis of those homonymy pairs and series whose components are only borrowing from Turkic languages. In particular, by the method of continuous selection, the tokens, designated as homonyms, were removed from of MUL (Modern Ukrainian Language) in 11 vol., the GEDMUL (Great Explanatory Dictionary of Modern Ukrainian Language) (2005), the source of borrowing was established, and the semantic-stylistic features of the lexical homonyms were characterized. It is proved that among the Turkisms, the most powerful source of homonymy in the Ukrainian language is Turkish borrowings.
