THE PECULIARITIES OF THE WORK WITH A TEXT FOR HOME READING AT THE ENGLISH LESSON

Generally this article deals with the process of reading, its importance and role for the development of the speaking skills at the English lesson. The stages of the work with a text for home reading are studied in de- tail. A special attention is devoted to the consideration of different types of reading and their classification. The article also touches upon some criteria for the selection of texts for home reading: the level of English, grade, relevance, interest
