Abstract

The article is devoted to interpretation of the role of Russian nature in the literary creation of Mikhail Prishvin. The relationship between man and nature is a priority topic in the literature of the twentieth century, therefore, a study devoted to the consideration of the possibilities of reflecting the “sense of nature” in the works of M. Prishvin is relevant. The article presents the results of studying the descriptions of Russian nature, which are characteristic of the work of M. Prishvin. The aim of the work is to prove that Mikhail Prishvin is not only a talented writer, but also an original thinker who created his own artistic philosophy, the basis of which is the relationship between man and the natural environment. The material for the study was the heritage of M.M. Prishvin, in which the artistic philosophy of the writer was manifested to the greatest extent (“In the Land of Unafraid Birds” (1907), “Behind the Magic Kolobok” (1908), “At the Walls of the Invisible City” (1908), “Ginseng” (1933), “Calendar of Nature” (1935)), “Kashcheev's chain” and others). The methodology of the work proceeds from general provisions on the relationship between the surrounding nature and society, therefore the principles of the study are historical-genetic and comparative-historical. The article summarizes studies on the role of Russian nature in the artistic work of M. Prishvin and notes the direction of development of this topic in the study of the writer's work, gives a definition of the landscape in the work of M. Prishvin, examines the manner of M. Prishvin's writing. The results of the research indicate that nature is not only an object of M. Prishvin's artistic work, it also defines the style of the writer as a way of reflecting reality. The philosophy of nature in M. Prishvin is expressed with the force that is not observed in the writer's predecessors, contemporaries and followers.
