Abstract

Principles are the basis of all sciences and the pillar for every knowledge seeker. Since the matters of creed are of utmost importance for Muslims to understand, I hereby seek to derive a number of creed principles. These principles, derived from the books of distinguished Imams across different ages, shall help Muslims understand their fundamentals of belief, present reasonable evidence and arguments, and avoid suspicions. I also divided these principles into three types: the affirmatory type that is mainly derived from the holy Quran and Sunnah, the dialectical and rational type acquired from the rules of thinking, and a third one is drawn from the aforementioned two types.
