Abstract

The analysis of sources devoted to the problems of visual perception notation in language allows us to distinguish two main approaches. Within the framework of the first, earlier in time, so-called word-centric ap- proach, researchers focus on perception verbs as a lexico-semantic class of words. According to the second, the verb is considered within the sentence and is understood as its vertex, and the propagators of the verb are treated as its actants. In this regard, great importance is attached to the study of verbal control. In the works of A. Viberg, a different approach to solving this problem is proposed. In particular, the researcher starts from the non-linguistic reality (hereinafter-the situation of perception) to the ways of its display in the lan- guage, i.e. the question was raised about modeling the situation of perception in the utterance. In this case, the verb is interpreted as one of the components of the utterance, along with other equally important ones. The article reviews the research of modern Turkish scientists devoted to modeling the situation of visual percep- tion in a group of Turkic languages, stimulated by the ideas of A. Viberg
