The Effect of Applying Knowledge Acquisition Strategy on Achieving Individual’s Objectives / Case Study in Jordanian Insurance Companies

This study aims to identify the effect of the application of the knowledge acquisition strategy in achieving individual's objectives: a case study of the Jordanian insurance companies, and in order to achieve the study objective, the researcher developed a questionnaire, and verified its validity and stability. The study community consisted of the administrators and employees of the Jordanian Union of Insurance Companies, (82) administratives and staff members, where (82) questionnaires were distributed, and only (75) of them returned, as some of the questionnaires were not valid because of incomplete information, the number of valid questionnaires for the purposes of statistical analysis was (61). The data is analyzed using SPSS, the study reached a number of results, most important of which are: The existence of a statistically significant effect at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05), to apply the strategy of knowledge acquisition in achieving the objectives of the individual combined, there is a statistically significant effect at the moral level (α ≤ 0.05) to apply the knowledge acquisition strategy in achieving each of the individual's goals of (high wages, career development, personal growth, and social appreciation). The study recommends the Jordanian Union of Jordanian Insurance Companies to conduct regular meetings between the management and employees to transfer important knowledge between the parties. Jordan Union for Jordanian insurance companies in the city of Amman also needs to care about the dimension of (high wages), as it obtains the (fourth) and last rank on the scale of interest of workers in the Jordanian Union of Jordanian insurance companies.
