IMPACT OF E-HRM SYSTEM ON ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN THE SULTANATE OF OMAN

Abstract

The study attempted to examine the impact of e-Human Resource Management system on organizational performance focusing on e-Recruitment and e-Selection, eTraining, E-Communication, e-Performance Appraisal and e-Productivity. A structures questionnaire was used to collect data from 154 respondents from different organization from the Sultanate of Oman and were analyzed with various statistical tools which can be used to test the relationship between the variables. However, it was relieved the model that strong positive association exist among the e-HRM variables. Further noted that there exists a positive correlation between e-HRM system and employee satisfaction. A multiple regression was run to predict the organizational performance from all five independent variables such as e-Recruitment and eSelection, e-Training, e-Communication, e-Performance Appraisal and e-Productivity and it was proved statistically significantly predict the dependent variable thereby accepting the study hypotheses. It is therefore recommended that all the organizations in the Sultanate of Oman should come up with a list of processes and e-HR activities that could be automated to resulting in improve efficiency of work which will lead to the improved organizational performance. Every organization in Oman, an implementation manager should be assigned who was free to decide when to implement the e-HRM system and communicate it to employees. A high-performance e-HRM system in Oman may help preserve the balance between the employees' personal goals and the company's performance goals. Further this study can be conducted widely be carried out in all sectors across the country
