Abstract

Information technology (IT) is radically transforming the way we do business worldwide and the e-commerce industry has been completely transformed into a digital sector several years ago. Digital technology has helped in emerge of a "nation of entrepreneurs"(UNIDPO, 2016). Thanks to the birth of a large number of new ecommerce companies. Technological devices and applications such as mobile Internet, cloud computing, verifiable digital identification, electronic marketing, intelligent transport and distribution, digital payments etc. have brought significant strategic and economic benefits to a country. International business opportunities are created for millions of entrepreneurs via the use of e- commerce technologies. It is a new way of conducting business in the process of production, distribution, marketing, sale or delivery of goods and services by electronic means (WTO, 1998). Advertisement is also one of the components of the same. Broadest form of electronic commerce indicates any type of commercial transaction or interaction operated or conducted electronically. This could potentially include activities which include the use of the telephone or fax machine, as well as internet. (MOSPI,n.d.)
