Abstract
In last decade the usage of multiple hardware as well as software have been used in the smooth functioning of any industry. Sometimes it also creates problem due to dependency on each other which may affect the overall performance of an industry. In this present paper attempt has been made to analyze the effective system reliability on the basis of probability of failure of software as well as hardware and try to make them independent so that in case of failure of any components of software as well as hardware nay not affect the overall performance of an industry. The aim of this research paper is to discuss about the failures in interaction between hardware and software components. For this purpose, the concept of fault tree analysis and a Markov based unified system reliability modeling incorporating different categories of system failure have been used.
