Abstract

The article is devoted to the definition, concretization and visualization of the essence of the concept of «ecological-economic system», the disclosure of its most common and essential features, evolution, content and boundaries. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that in modern conditions of development of economic, ecological and social systems, taking into account the active processes of globalization, humanity has come to the indisputable conclusion that the implementation of the policy of economic growth can not ensure the normal existence of man on Earth. The article considers the theoretical essence of the concept of «ecological and economic system», the methodological basis of its research, the ratio of its components of «economy» and «ecology», the stages and patterns of development of ecological and economic systems, a characteristic of the current state of the global ecological and economic system. The paper noted that the category of «ecological-economic system» as an important component in the interaction between society and nature is a set of relations (environmental, economic and social), the purpose of which is the most effective use of natural goods to ensure both economic growth and maximize welfare person and society. It is concluded that the problems of development and scientific research of ecological-economic systems exist due to the lack of a uniform methodological toolkit for the study of these systems and the emerging relationships. The formation of a methodology and methodology for the scientific study of ecological-economic systems is hampered by the insufficient validity of theoretical conclusions. In this regard, the main task is to develop a general concept for the study of environmental-economic systems, which would allow to develop a unified system of indicators for evaluating various components that are optimal in terms of coordinating the interests of nature and the economy.
