SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE IN THE WORLD RATINGS

The article defines the current state and trends of the socio-economic development of the state based on international ratings and provides recommendations for improving the socio-economic policy of Ukraine. Such indicators as global competitiveness index, corruption perception index, human development index, ease of doing business index are presented and summarized, economic freedom in Ukraine is assessed. An assessment of the country's effectiveness was carried out using the SEDA Methodology, which includes two important concepts — the ratio of well-being to wealth and the ratio of well-being to wealth growth. Despite the results, positively characterizes the socio-economic situation in the country, it should be noted that not productivity growth, but population welfare growth is the goal, so the government should pay more attention to maintaining a high level of economic growth to further increase welfare. It was revealed that the main obstacles to improving the competitiveness of the economy of Ukraine are: insufficient infrastructure development; inefficient state apparatus; corruption; contain domestic demand; dependence on imports, primarily on fuel and energy resources; problems with credit resources at extremely high interest rates; not perfect tax and depreciation policy, and the like.
