Abstract

A complex characteristic of an enterprises capacity to innovation is traditionally considered its innovative potential. Analysis of the existing methodological approaches to evlauating the innovative potential of an enterprise has indicated that there are no universally recognized principles for its evaluation, which means there is a need for systematization and profound argumentation of enterprises criteria, indicators of innovative potential, and methods for evaluating it. In addition, most of the existing methodological approaches concentrate on industrial enterprises activities and cannot be applied to transport and logistics enterprises due to significant differences in the specifics of their innovative activities. For determining the innovative potential level of a transport and logistics enterprise, the author introduces a system of primary potential-forming indicators and their criteria-based normative values, which takes into consideration the factor and structural approaches to determining its essence determination. The offered criteria-based normative values are based on normative values from the economic and financial literature, industry average and the best indicators of the studied fields of activity. Developed system of indicators and their criteria-based normative values considers the enterprises functioning singularities in the field of transport logistics and does not contain expert assessments, which ensures the results objectivity. To determine the magnitude of innovation potential, the author proposes to use integral values of innovative potential and its structural components (industrial and technological, financial, scientific and technical, organizational and managerial, personnel and marketing). Comparison of the acquired knowledge with ther indicators of other market participants allows us to consider the operating conditions of transport and logistics enterprise and to determine the level of its innovative potential relative to other enterprises in the industry.
