Design of Portable Seed Sowing Machine for Small Farm Applications

In this project, the seeds meant to disperse over the land are stored in a tank which is made up of sheet metal. The tank can accommodate seed and can be easily carried by a person on his back. The seeds are then made to fall by means of gravity through a seed dispersal tube. The dispersal tube may be of different diameters based on the requirement of the seed to be dispersed. The MS control valve is attached to the dispersal tube to regulate the amount of seed that is meant to be dispersed. When the seed has passed the control, it travels through the remaining length of the tube. The seeds are then bowel sown by means of a blower which is operated by a battery. The blower employed for this purpose is 12volts D.C. Once the seed has reached the exit the direction of the tube can be changed to make the seeds fall in different directions. The conventional way of seed sowing in agriculture involves the manual way of dispersing the seed on seeds on the ground. This not only leads to high labor costs but also time-consuming. This could be overcome by using a portable seed sowing machine and also requires minimum maintenance cost. It can also be easily transportable. By using a pneumatic seed sowing machine, we can reduce the sowing time of the seed and saves the human effort.
