Abstract

Now a days, the communication ways across citizens due to Covid-19 pandemic changed drastically. The outbreak of COVID-19 virus imposed many restrictions on routine movement of citizens in the society. The unexpected traffic increase at shopping outlets is causing to violate preventive guidelines of COVID-19.The foremost precaution to prevent COVID-19 spread is to maintain social distance of at least 6-feet between any two citizens in outside world. This paper proposes a novel technique for decision making of citizens. In this work, we streamline the decisions of citizens in shopping of various commodities or availing services so that social distance norm is maintained at shopping or service outlets. We study a special case of Indian street vegetable markets in urban areas where social distance norm is difficult to enforce. We propose a novel strategy to enforce social distance norm at vegetable shopping outlets in Indian vegetable street markets in urban areas. Next we propose a novel approach to streamline customers at salon and we got good results in terms of protecting social distance. At last, we propose a novel technique to streamline the decisions of citizens of other service outlets related to various amenities in the society. The results of analysis in all three cases suggested a significant improvement in minimizing the COVID-19 outbreak in terms of achieving social distance norm.
